A next level approach to both alcohol inks and monoprint style printmaking! This workshop will change the way you look at both printmaking and alcohol inks. Learn to use alcohol inks to create hand-pulled prints ready to frame!

Participants will work at individual stations and use stencils, acrylic paint, and alcohol ink to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

Basic working knowledge of alcohol ink is a must. All materials provided.

Instructor Bio

Ariane Flichel was born and raised in Regina SK where she continues to teach and maintain a home-based studio practice.  She studied under the late Jack Cowin at the University of Regina, graduating with a BFA Visual Arts degree with Distinction and a double major in Drawing and Printmaking in 2005. She earned an MFA Visual Arts degree in Printmedia working under the late Karen Savage at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, graduating in 2009. Ariane works with notions of nostalgia and memory and specializes in traditional softground Copperplate Etching. She is now focused monoprints and print transfers with non-traditional materials and is revisiting linocut and intaglio printmaking techniques. She also dabbles in Jewelry Architecture and Painting, and you can find her at markets around Saskatchewan.
