Alex McPhee

Alex McPhee is a cartographer (professional map-maker) based in Val Marie. Working digitally and in print, he specializes in the landscapes and history of Southwestern Saskatchewan, the Prairies, and Canada. His "Provinces" series of wall maps have won international awards in the craft (including one where the competition was National Geographic). When not poring over conflicting label text, he moonlights as a grain elevator tour guide and currently chairs Val Marie's heritage committee.
